This latest debacle really does make you wonder will there ever be some sort of justice, or at least closure, for the victims and their families. They have been betrayed by their church, by their State, and by their peers time and time again, and so it continues. I'm all for due process and the correct implentation of the justice system, but when we find ourselves in a world where the "rights" and "dignity" of the abuser is given greater regard than the rights and dignity of their victim(s), then as a nation we need to seriously re-evaluate our priorities.
